ACCIONA named Company of the year 2013 by Canada-Spain Chamber of Commerce

Cemefi recognizes ACCIONA Mexico with the Distinctive ESR® for promoting sustainable values.

ACCIONA won for the fifth consecutive year the Distinctive ESR®, in addition to recognition by the Give & Gain Day initiative. Also, in the framework of this meeting, Mexico ACCIONA first obtained recognition Give & Gain Day, for the great work of volunteer ACCIONA held each year at the international level to promote sustainable values.

Nouvelle Autoroute 30, Montreal

ACCIONA received two of the most important awards in the concessions sector: in 2008 it received the Gold Award given annually by The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnership's annual Gold Award, which is the benchmark organization in its sector in Canada, as part of the National Awards for Innovation and Excellence in PPP projects; ACCIONA also received the North America Deal of the Year award for the year's best financial operation, awarded by the prestigious PPI publication.

Fort Saint John Hospital

The CAD $237 million Fort St John Hospital was awarded this year’s GOLD Award in the General Contractor over $40 Million category  by the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) for setting a high bar, not only as one of Northern Canada’s largest regional hospitals, but for also achieving LEED Gold certification and CCPPP Silver Award Infrastructure . The P3 project involved the design and construction and a 30-year Operation and Maintenance concession for a 55-bed hospital with a residential annexe for seniors with an additional 123 beds The Acciona Infrastructure/Stuart Olson team had to overcome numerous challenges - including the project's remote location and sub-zero temperatures in winter - to deliver the hospital on time and to budget. Ground was broken at the 40-acre site in the summer of 2009. Completion was in May 2012.

Royal Jubilee Hospital

ACCIONA has committed itself to adopting Pacific Green Standards, which result in excellence both in design and respect for the environment. Sustainability is also guaranteed by LEED Gold certification for the project which means that the building blends in with its surroundings, from construction phase to operation. These are some of the landmarks achieved in relation to this certification.
